It’s a clash that reeks of football history. Real Madrid host AC Milan this Tuesday at the Santiago Bernabéu for matchday 4 of the Champions League group stage. After the drubbing received in the Clasico (0-4) ten days ago, Carlo Ancelotti’s men return to European competition where they currently sit 12th with two wins against Stuttgart (3-1) and BVB (5-2) and a defeat to Lille (1-0). On the other hand, the Milanese, 25th, must absolutely win to hope to qualify for the knockout stages.
To achieve this, Carlo Ancelotti has opted for his classic 4-4-2 formation with an attack composed of Vinicius and Kylian Mbappé. Luka Modric joins Aurélien Tchouaméni, Jude Bellingham, and Federico Valverde in midfield, while Eduardo Camavinga is on the bench. On the other side, Rafael Leao starts alongside Yunus Musah and Christian Pulisic behind Alvaro Morata up front.
Official line-ups:
Real Madrid: Lunin – Lucas Vazquez, Rüdiger, Militao, Mendy – Tchouaméni, Valverde, Modric, Bellingham – Mbappé, Vinicius.
AC Milan: Maignan – Emerson Royal, Thiaw, Tomori, Hernandez – Fofana, Reijnders – Musah, Pulisic, Leao – Morata.
