Here’s the latest news from the training grounds and the predicted line-ups for Inter vs Lecce:
Latest on Inter
Inter will make their Serie A home debut at San Siro with a few changes from the side that drew 2-2 with Genoa. Simone Inzaghi has Zielinski back in training but he’s likely to start on the bench; De Vrij and Buchanan remain out. In defense, Pavard is almost certain to return in place of Bisseck alongside Acerbi and Bastoni, in front of Sommer. There’s a battle for the right-back spot between Dumfries and Darmian, with the Italian slightly ahead, and Dimarco is favored over Carlos Augusto on the left; Frattesi is pushing for a start but Mkhitaryan is likely to partner Barella and Calhanoglu in midfield. Lautaro Martinez is a doubt due to a slight adductor strain, so it’s unlikely Inzaghi will risk him. This means Taremi is set to make his first start alongside Thuram up front. (reported by Ivan Cardia from Milan).
Latest on Lecce
Lecce face another tough test as they travel to San Siro to take on Inter. There are no new injury concerns, with only Kaba sidelined. Gotti will stick with a 4-2-3-1 formation but faces similar selection dilemmas to last week. Falcone will start in goal, with Baschirotto and Gaspar in the centre, Gendrey at right-back despite transfer rumours, and Gallo on the left. Ramadani and Pierrot are likely to partner in midfield, although Coulibaly will hope for a chance. The main decisions are in the attacking midfield, where Gotti will play Dorgu on the left but has several options in the central and right attacking midfield roles: Marchwinski-Rafia or Morente-Banda. Krstovic will lead the line. (reported by Filippo Verri from Lecce).
