The Real Madrid forward is demanding this amount from his former club for unpaid wages, a signing bonus, and an ethical bonus, according to ‘Le Monde‘.
Kylian Mbappé’s arrival in Spanish football has had an immeasurable impact. Proof of this was, for example, his presentation with Real Madrid, in a Bernabéu packed with fans eager for the arrival of the French star, after a more than five-year-long soap opera. There was also the ‘Mbappémania’ that broke out in Mallorca on the occasion of the first matchday of LaLiga EA Sports. However, his departure from PSG continues to make the news. In this case, ‘Le Monde’ reports the roadmap of the Real Madrid number 9 to claim a total of €55 million in unpaid wages from the Parisian club.
As reported by the French media, Mbappé has turned to the LFP and UEFA to try to resolve the unpaid wages issue that tarnished his farewell to the Parisian club. Initially, in fact, there was talk of a higher amount (€80 million) that PSG had ‘forgotten’ to pay, when the player himself had already announced his decision not to extend his contract with the club presided over by Nasser Al Khelaifi.
The €55 million corresponds to a signing bonus (€36 million) that Mbappé should have received in February, to his salary for three months (April, May, and June), in addition to an “ethical bonus”. Thus, with an unpaid wages issue that began more than four months ago and has still not been resolved, the French international has asked for help from the LFP’s Legal Committee and also from UEFA. All this, with the aim of finally detaching himself from PSG, an entity to which he no longer belongs for more than two months.
Although Mbappé remains focused on the purely footballing aspect, already looking to redeem himself after a poor start to the domestic competition, he does not lose sight of extra-sporting matters, in this case the non-payment of his salary and a signing bonus, and acts decisively by turning to two of the most powerful organizations in French and international football through the French Football Federation (FFF). While waiting to see what response and the stance taken by PSG, to whom the player claims €55 million, the Real Madrid forward already has Real Valladolid (Sunday, 5pm) as his next objective.
His debut in the white shirt was excellent, scoring the second goal against Atalanta in the Super Cup final and opening his account as a Real Madrid player. However, at Son Moix against Mallorca, he failed to score and, although he tried, his performance was irregular.
