Kompany Priority for Bayern: “Announcement in the Coming Days”

Bayern is still searching for a successor to Tuchel, and the club has reportedly initiated discussions with Vincent Kompany.

Vincent Kompany is the number one candidate to succeed Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich. This is according to German journalist Florian Plettenberg from Sky Sports, as reported on Wednesday.

In a video posted on X, the German journalist reveals that discussions between Bayern and former Anderlecht coach Kompany have begun, and the initial signs are positive.

“We can confirm that there are concrete discussions underway, and these discussions are progressing well. According to our information, Kompany is currently the planned successor to Tuchel.”

Announcement in the Coming Days

Bayern’s executives are reportedly fully determined to appoint the 38-year-old former international. “There is no agreement yet, and nothing has been signed, but discussions and negotiations are ongoing. In the coming days, they want to announce Tuchel’s successor.”

According to Plettenberg, Bayern has not spoken to Mauricio Pochettino, who is leaving Chelsea. “This is a sign to us that the club is fully focused on Kompany,” he said.
