Rayo Vallecano have a chance to all but confirm their La Liga survival when they take on already-relegated Granada at Estadio de Vallecas on Wednesday.
Rayo, currently sitting 16th with 35 points, will be looking to widen the gap between themselves and the relegation zone. Granada, on the other hand, are rock-bottom with a measly 21 points and will be playing for pride after their relegation was confirmed last weekend.
Rayo boss Andoni Iraola has a near full-strength squad at his disposal, with only young midfielder Diego Mendez missing out. Winger Isi Palazon could be back in the starting line-up after coming on as a substitute in the weekend’s 0-0 draw with Valencia. Unai Lopez might also get a nod in midfield to bring some fresh legs to the engine room.
Granada are without winger Kamil Jozwiak who picked up a muscle injury in their recent defeat to Real Madrid. Midfielder Antonio Puertas is also a doubt after missing the last three games. However, defender Miguel Rubio is back from a one-match suspension and is expected to partner Ignasi Miquel in central defence.
Here’s a possible line-up for both teams:
Rayo Vallecano: Dimitrievski; Balliu, Mumin, Lejeune, Espino; Valentin, Lopez; Palazon, Trejo, Garcia; Camello
Granada: Batalla; Mendez, Rubio, Miquel, Neva; Pellistri, Gumbau, Hongla, Melendo; Boye, Uzuni
