Leverkusen vs Roma: Official Lineups

It’s all set for a massive night in Leverkusen as Bayer Leverkusen lock horns with AS Roma in the return leg of their Europa League semi-final! Leverkusen hold a commanding 2-0 lead from the first leg, but Roma will be desperate to turn things around in Germany.

Leverkusen Stick with Winning Formula

Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso has named a familiar lineup in a 3-4-3 formation. Lukas Hradecky misses out in goal, so Andrey Lunev gets the nod between the sticks. The back three of Hincapie, Tah, and Tapsoba will be tasked with keeping Roma’s attack at bay. Frimpong and Grimaldo provide width at wing-back, while Palacios and Xhaka offer experience in central midfield. Up front, the exciting trio of Hofmann, Adli, and Hlozek will look to add to Leverkusen’s lead.

Roma Make Changes in Search of Goals

Roma boss has opted for a more attacking 4-3-3 formation, with a couple of changes from the first leg. Rui Patricio is out injured, so Mile Svilar takes over in goal. The defensive line sees Spinazzola return at left-back, partnering with N’Dicka, Mancini, and Angelino. In midfield, the experienced trio of Cristante, Paredes, and Pellegrini will try to control the tempo. The big change comes in attack, with Tammy Abraham replaced by Sardar Azmoun alongside the ever-dangerous Romelu Lukaku and Stephan El Shaarawy.
