PSG set to extend Luis Enrique’s contract despite Champions League exit

Despite their disappointing Champions League exit, Paris Saint-Germain’s hierarchy is still keen on extending Luis Enrique’s contract. The Spanish tactician has made a positive impact since joining last summer, and the club believes he’s the right man to lead them into the future.

While the Champions League exit was a bitter pill to swallow, it shouldn’t overshadow the overall progress made under Enrique’s guidance. He arrived with a clear mission to restore the club to its former glory, and he’s taken significant steps in that direction.

Enrique hasn’t shied away from making tough decisions, such as benching star forward Kylian Mbappé when necessary. He’s instilled a new fighting spirit in the team, dispelling the notion that PSG lacks character.

The club’s management is convinced that Enrique is the right person to take PSG forward. They’re impressed with his work ethic, tactical nous, and ability to motivate the players. As a result, they’re looking to extend his contract, which currently runs until 2025.

According to Le Parisien, an official announcement could come in the next few weeks, possibly after the Coupe de France final against Olympique Lyonnais on May 25th. This would be the perfect opportunity for Enrique to further prove his worth and solidify his position as the man to lead PSG’s future endeavors.
