Inter Milan set sights on french football prodigy Georges Ilenikhena

In their quest to recruit young players with great potential, Inter Milan is eyeing George Ilenikhena (17 years old), who shines while playing for Royal Antwerp.

Fresh off their 20th Serie A title win, Inter Milan is already planning for the future. They aim to maintain dominance in Italian football while positioning themselves as contenders for the Champions League title. The club’s leadership intends to rejuvenate the squad by adding talented young players, including Georges Ilenikhena (17 years old).

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the young French forward from Royal Antwerp is seen as a credible addition to Simone Inzaghi’s team. Having appeared in 45 matches for the Belgian club this season, the player, trained at Amiens SC, has been decisive on 15 occasions (14 goals, 1 assist). He even became the youngest scorer in Champions League history by netting the decisive goal for Great Old against FC Barcelona (3-2) last December.

Georges Ilenikhena isn’t the top priority

However, despite Inter Milan’s interest, the Franco-Nigerian isn’t their top priority. While considered an alternative, it’s Genoa’s forward Albert Gudmundsson (26 years old) who seems to be favored by San Siro’s residents.

With 14 goals in 32 Serie A matches this season, the Icelandic player has suitors, and if his price tag rises too high, Inter Milan may abandon this pursuit. Nevertheless, the club must swiftly decide on Ilenikhena, who has attracted other suitors eager to secure his services, despite being under contract with Royal Antwerp until 2027 and having an estimated market value of nearly €20 million. Exciting weeks lie ahead.
