Union Berlin part ways with Bjelica: New manager hunt underway

It’s official: Nenad Bjelica won’t be at the helm of Union Berlin next season. Kicker reports that the German club’s management made this decision weeks ago. They reckon that, despite Bjelica’s efforts, the team hasn’t seen significant improvements under his guidance.

With 19 points from 16 league matches, just slightly better than the previous coach Urs Fischer, Union Berlin finds themselves in a relegation battle alongside Mainz, Bochum, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and Wolfsburg.

With three matches left in the season, the capital city is eager to start afresh in the top flight with a new manager. The decision has been made; all that’s left is to unveil who will take over the reins.
