Juventus eyes Ligue 1 stars for summer transfer spree

Juventus is gearing up for a major overhaul this summer, with their sights set on two Ligue 1 stars to bolster their ranks.

The Bianconeri, once the undisputed kings of Italian football, have endured a disappointing few seasons, failing to reclaim their Serie A crown and falling short in European competitions. Determined to restore their former glory, Juventus is ready to splash the cash in the upcoming transfer window.

According to Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus has turned its attention to Ligue 1 as a potential hunting ground. Following the successful acquisitions of Timothy Weah and Tiago Djaló last year, the Bianconeri are now eyeing two more LOSC Lille players: Tiago Santos and Edon Zhegrova.

Tiago Santos, a 21-year-old Portuguese right-back, has impressed in his debut season in Ligue 1, attracting interest from Juventus as a potential replacement for Weah. However, Juventus will face competition from English clubs for his signature.

Edon Zhegrova, a 25-year-old Kosovar winger, has also caught the eye of Juventus with his scintillating performances in Ligue 1 and the Europa Conference League. His five goals and five assists in the league, coupled with two goals and one assist in Europe, have made him a target for Massimiliano Allegri’s attacking revamp.

Juventus’ pursuit of Santos and Zhegrova signals their intent to make a statement in the transfer market and reclaim their place among Europe’s elite. With their financial muscle and ambitious plans, the Bianconeri could pose a serious threat to other clubs vying for these talented players.
