Nacho Fernández considering Sevilla move after Real Madrid exit

Nacho Fernández will leave Real Madrid at the end of his contract on June 30th. The defender has decided that the time has come to move on, and while he would not like to face his boyhood club, it is a possibility.

According to reports from Todofichajes, Sergio Ramos, who is expected to renew his contract with Sevilla soon, has given his approval for Nacho to join the club. Sevilla have been interested in Nacho in the past, when Julen Lopetegui was manager. He is a versatile and high-quality defender who would be available on a free transfer and would command a reasonable salary.

Sevilla sporting director Monchi is keen to open talks with the player, who is aware of the interest from his former teammate and friend Ramos. Nacho is also interested in the move.

Sevilla fans are already dreaming of a center-back pairing of Nacho and Ramos, which would undoubtedly add quality to a position that has been a problem since the departures of Jules Koundé and Diego Carlos. Apart from the contribution of Marcao this season, the rest of the signings to strengthen the defense have been disappointing.
