Real Sociedad eye Donny van de Beek loan move

Real Sociedad are reportedly interested in signing Donny van de Beek on loan from Manchester United this summer.

The 26-year-old Dutch midfielder has spent the second half of the 2023-24 season on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt, but he is not expected to be retained by the Bundesliga club.

Van de Beek is under contract with Manchester United until June 2025, but he is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford and is set to be made available for transfer this summer.

Real Sociedad are keen to add a creative midfielder to their squad and see van de Beek as a potential target. The Basque club are considering a loan deal with an option to buy. .

Van de Beek has struggled to find regular playing time since joining Manchester United from Ajax in 2020. He has made just 44 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring two goals.

A move to Real Sociedad could offer van de Beek the chance to play more regularly and re-kickstart his career.
