Bayern Munich edge past Arsenal to reach Champions League semi-finals

Bayern Munich secured their place in the Champions League semi-finals with a narrow 1-0 victory over Arsenal in the second leg of their quarter-final tie. The win keeps their hopes of a major trophy alive for the 2023/24 season.

Arsenal started brightly, keeping possession under pressure from the passionate Bayern fans. Harry Kane almost gave the Gunners a dream start, but his shot went wide. Bayern soon found their rhythm, creating chances through Musiala and Mazraoui.

Arsenal responded through Martinelli and Ødegaard, forcing saves from the experienced Manuel Neuer. The second half saw Bayern take control. Goretzka and Guerreiro both came close with headers, before Joshua Kimmich headed home the winner just past the hour mark.

Bayern pushed for a second goal, but Arsenal defended valiantly and nearly found an equalizer through Ødegaard. Ultimately, the German giants held on to secure their place in the next round.
