After losing 2-3 to FC Barcelona at the Parc des Princes, Paris Saint-Germain will need to perform a historic feat to reach the semi-finals next Tuesday in Spain.

A disastrous performance. Paris Saint-Germain were stunned by FC Barcelona on Wednesday night (2-3). Beaten at home in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, Luis Enrique’s men have fallen from a great height!

The Parisians will need to perform an unprecedented feat to validate their ticket to the semi-finals. According to StatsduFoot, no French club has ever qualified for the next round after losing at home in the Champions League. As a reminder, PSG will need to win by two goals if they want to reach the last four of the C1.

The return match is in less than a week. The two teams will not have time to rest before the decisive return leg. PSG will be exceptionally rested this weekend in Ligue 1, and will therefore be able to prepare for the match in Barcelona.

For their part, Xavi’s men will face Cadiz in La Liga on Saturday night (9:00 PM CET), before finally turning their attention to the reception of Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, April 16th.
