Lens ties down in-demand defender Medina to new contract

French club Lens have announced that they have extended the contract of defender Facundo Medina.

The 24-year-old Argentine, who has been linked with moves to Inter Milan and Fiorentina in recent months, has signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until June 2028.

Medina has been a key player for Lens since joining the club from River Plate in 2020. He has made 74 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals.

The new contract is a major boost for Lens, who are currently in seventh place in Ligue 1. It is also a sign of the club’s ambition, as they look to establish themselves as a force in French football.
