Inter eye €80m for Marcus Thuram amid PSG interest

Paris Saint-Germain are keeping tabs on Marcus Thuram as they prepare for the departure of Kylian Mbappé. The French star will not renew his contract at the end of the season and is widely expected to join Real Madrid.

Luis Enrique’s side are on the lookout for a replacement and the Inter forward could fit the bill. Thuram’s father, Lilian, is a club legend at PSG and the son is seen as a potential heir to Olivier Giroud in the French national team.

Tuttosport reports that the deal could go through if Inter receive the right offer. As has been the case in the past, the money will be reinvested in the market to strengthen Simone Inzaghi’s squad.

The newspaper suggests that a fee of €80 million could be enough to convince Inter to sell. This would be similar to the amount they received for Achraf Hakimi last summer.

If Thuram does leave, Inter will use the money to sign players in other positions. They are looking to strengthen their defense and sign an attacker who can provide unpredictability and dribbling.

The names of Alessandro Buongiorno and Albert Gudmundsson have been mentioned as potential targets. Torino and Genoa value the players at €40 million each.
