Mason Greenwood: Juventus join the race for the English prodigy

Italy’s Juventus have joined the race to sign Mason Greenwood, with the Manchester United forward set to leave the club this summer.

Greenwood, currently on loan at Getafe CF, has seen his stock rise in recent months after a successful spell in La Liga. The 22-year-old has scored six goals in 17 appearances for Getafe, helping the club to avoid relegation.

Greenwood’s resurgence has attracted attention from several top clubs in Europe, including Juventus. The Italian giants are in the market for a new forward, with Federico Chiesa’s future at the club uncertain.

Greenwood would be a good fit for Juventus, with his pace, power, and finishing ability all attributes that would be suited to Serie A. The English youngster would also provide competition for Dusan Vlahovic, who has been Juventus’ main striker since joining from Fiorentina in January 2022.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United are expected to demand around €50 million for Greenwood, which could prove to be a stumbling block for Juventus. The Italian club are also interested in signing Felipe Anderson from Lazio, and they may not have the financial resources to sign both players.

However, Juventus are determined to sign a top-quality forward this summer, and Greenwood is one of the names on their shortlist. The English youngster has the potential to be a world-class player, and Juventus believe he could be the perfect addition to their attack.
