Sergi Cardona is set to leave Las Palmas this summer after the club failed to agree a new contract with the player. The Catalan defender is expected to sign for Atlético de Madrid, despite interest from Barcelona, which will leave a big hole at left-back.
Several names have already been mentioned as possible replacements for Cardona, with Layvin Kurzawa the latest to join the list, according to Todofichajes. The Frenchman is out of contract at PSG this summer and will be looking for a new club after a year in which he has barely played.
Las Palmas have reportedly already contacted Kurzawa’s agent to sound out the player’s situation. The player was initially thought to be keen on a move to France or England, but the interest from Las Palmas could make him change his mind.
The Las Palmas sporting director has already made a formal offer to the player’s agent and it is expected that a decision on his future will be made before the end of the season.
