Barcelona: Lewandowski, Iñigo Martínez, and Cancelo suspended for one match

Barcelona players Robert Lewandowski, Iñigo Martínez, and João Cancelo have been suspended for one match for yellow card accumulation.

The three players will miss the next La Liga match against Cádiz on April 13, but they will be available for the Clásico on April 21.

Of the three players, Lewandowski and Cancelo are the most likely to start in the Clásico. Before then, Barça will play two matches: the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against PSG on April 10 and the La Liga match against Cádiz on April 13. Xavi will have to find solutions for the La Liga match next Saturday.

Xavi’s tactics

Without Lewandowski, Xavi has the option to start Vitor Roque, although he also has the alternative of Ferran Torres, who played some minutes against Las Palmas. Xavi has used the former City player in this position on many occasions and he has a chance to be the chosen one, although he has played very few minutes since recovering from his muscle problems.

Héctor Fort or Marcos Alonso are the alternatives to Cancelo at left-back. In normal circumstances, Alonso would be the favorite, but he has not played a single minute since he was discharged. In the case of Iñigo Martínez, Cubarsí has already consolidated himself in the starting eleven for some weeks now.
