Antonio Conte: Napoli’s top target for the coaching job

The future of the Napoli bench is on everyone’s lips, and president Aurelio De Laurentiis is ready to make a big move. With the current season leaving a bittersweet taste, De Laurentiis has his sights set on Antonio Conte as the solution to revitalize the team.

Conte, 54, has been out of the game since his departure from Tottenham a year ago. During this time, he has remained in the media spotlight, but has opted to take a sabbatical to recharge his batteries and spend time with his family in Turin. However, the lure of Napoli seems to be too strong to ignore.

Napoli wants Antonio Conte

The Napoli president is determined to convince Conte to take over the team. According to page 24 of the Gazzetta dello Sport, De Laurentiis is working hard to persuade the Italian coach, offering him total control in the transfer market and a generous budget of over 100 million euros, thanks to the sale of Victor Osimhen.

Conte’s salary does not seem to be an obstacle for De Laurentiis, who understands the need for major investments after a turbulent season. The goal is clear: to return to the Champions League and restore Napoli to the elite of European football.

Although some alternatives have been mentioned, such as Vincenzo Italiano, Francesco Farioli and Raffaele Palladino, Conte remains Napoli’s top choice. His experience and previous success with Serie A teams make him the ideal candidate to lead the resurgence of the Partenopei club.
