Milan defender Simon Kjaer put in a strong performance for Denmark in their friendly against Switzerland, but his night was cut short due to a muscular issue. He limped off around the hour mark, raising concerns for Milan fans already worried about Kjaer’s injury history.
This adds to a frustrating season for Kjaer, who has already battled several injury setbacks. Despite that, he’s managed to make 22 appearances for the Rossoneri so far this season, even chipping in with an assist.
Before the match, Kjaer spoke to Danish outlet bold.dk about his commitment to Milan. He revealed that he recently turned down lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia to stay with the Italian giants.

“Milan is where I’ve always wanted to be,” Kjaer declared. “Playing for this club has been a dream come true, and I love my life in Milan.”
Kjaer has enjoyed a nomadic career, playing in Germany, France, Turkey, and Spain before settling in Italy. He spent time with several Italian clubs before joining Milan in January 2020.
Despite his international roots, Kjaer considers Italy his home. “My wife is Swedish, and our children are raised speaking English,” he explained. “Italy has become a true home for all of us.”
Now, Milan fans will anxiously await news on Kjaer’s injury, hoping it’s not serious and he can return to action soon.
