Rabiot on the radar: Atletico eye free transfer swoop

Atletico Madrid have entered the race to sign Adrien Rabiot.

The French midfielder is out of contract at Juventus at the end of the season and is attracting interest from a number of clubs, including Arsenal, Barcelona and Newcastle United.

Rabiot has been a key player for Juventus since joining from Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, making over 150 appearances and scoring 17 goals.

He was also part of the France squad that reached the final of the 2022 World Cup.

Atletico Madrid are looking to strengthen their midfield and believe that Rabiot would be a good fit for the team. Diego Simeone, the Atletico manager, is a fan of Rabiot’s energy and dynamism.

Rabiot is likely to be available on a free transfer in the summer, which would make him an attractive proposition for a number of clubs.

However, Atletico Madrid will face competition from Arsenal, Barcelona and Newcastle United, according to Fichajes.

Arsenal are looking to add experience to their midfield, while Barcelona are looking for a cheaper alternative to Frenkie de Jong.

Newcastle are also interested in Rabiot, as they look to build a squad capable of competing in the Premier League.

The battle for Rabiot’s signature is likely to be intense in the summer transfer window.
