Real Madrid are planning to make significant signings to strengthen their squad for the next summer transfer window, and two names stand out above the rest: Kylian Mbappé of PSG and Alphonso Davies of Bayern Munich.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, the club is also targeting another player who would be a real coup in the market: young French central defender Leny Yoro of Lille.
The interest in Yoro comes in response to the team’s defensive needs, which have suffered numerous injuries and performance drops this season in defense.
The arrival of Yoro is seen as a way to strengthen Real Madrid’s defense and add a differentiating element to their sporting planning for the coming years (Yoro is 18 years old).
There will be rivals for his future
Lille are expected to evaluate an official and final price for the player in May, at which time Real Madrid will be on the lookout to take action. However, it is said that the French side would ask for around 60 million euros for his transfer.
The club’s board of directors, headed by Florentino Pérez, is determined to convince Yoro that Real Madrid is the ideal destination for his future, although strong competition is expected for his services.
Fabrizio Romano also pointed out in his information that, although Leny Yoro’s great goal is Real Madrid, there are other very powerful contenders who also want to sign him.
These are Manchester United and PSG, who would offer him more money than Florentino Pérez could afford. But one thing is clear: the Frenchman has become a priority for the Madrid side.
