Mbappé’s father calls Florentino Pérez to clarify: “We’re not pressuring Real Madrid to let him play in the Olympics”

Kylian Mbappé’s move to Real Madrid this summer is all but certain. The Bondy native is still ironing out the details of his transfer, and yesterday his father, Wilfried, felt the need to contact Florentino Pérez.

The Mbappé family is clear that Kylian would like to play in the Olympics, but they will not pressure Madrid to let him go. On the contrary, they respect whatever decision is made at the Bernabéu. “Either the Games or the Eurocup,” they say at Valdebebas.

In fact, Kylian’s father, Wilfried, called Florentino this Sunday and told him clearly that they were not the source of the pressure coming from France for Madrid to “release” Mbappé to play in the Summer Olympics.

“We don’t want any misunderstandings or problems,” Wilfried Mbappé said alongside Fayza Lamari. “We’re not going to Madrid with demands. We respect the decision, we understand it, and there’s no conflict of any kind.”

“Nothing has come from us…”

“Nothing has come from us…,” Kylian’s father clearly told the Madrid president, setting the record straight. Real Madrid were very pleased with the response, although they believed it was coming directly from the press and did not doubt them.

Florentino is very satisfied with how the matter is being handled. PSG, for once, is not playing dirty and will not be able to prevent the French striker from signing with Real Madrid. Mbappé is handling things very well and continues to prepare for his arrival at the Bernabéu.
