Man of the Match: Marco Bizot (8)
The Dutch goalkeeper made a string of impressive saves to earn his team a point. He was particularly impressive in the second half, when he denied Lille on several occasions.
Brest (4-3-3)
Bizot (8): See above.
Locko (6): Another energetic performance from the full-back. He was kept busy by Zhegrova but acquitted himself well. He also provided some attacking threat.
Brassier (6): He had his hands full with David but put in a solid performance. He made some important interceptions and clearances.
Chardonnet (5.5): The captain was again the rock at the heart of the Brest defense. He made a vital last-ditch tackle to deny Lille in the second half.
Lala (6): The former Strasbourg full-back was solid defensively and also offered some attacking threat. He was not troubled by Haraldsson.
Lees-Melou (5.5): The midfielder was busy in the first half and had to deal with a lot of physical pressure. He was more composed in the second half and helped to control the game.
Magnetti (6): He had a good chance early in the game and was a driving force in midfield. He was replaced by Jonas Martin (68′).
Camara (5.5): The former Saint-Etienne player was the driving force behind Brest’s best chance of the first half. He was replaced by Kamory Doumbia (68′).
Pereira Lage (5): A quiet game from the former Angers player. He was booked for a late challenge and did not see much of the ball. He was replaced by Steve Mounié (76′).
Del Castillo (5.5): The attacking midfielder was quiet until he had a great chance in the first half. He then lost the ball in midfield which led to Lille’s best chance of the first half. He was replaced by Billal Brahimi (84′).
Satriano (6.5): A good performance from the Uruguayan striker. He held the ball up well and brought others into the game. He was finally rewarded for his efforts with a goal in the last 15 minutes. He was replaced by Jérémy Le Douaron (84′).
Lille (4-2-3-1)
Chevalier (6): The LOSC goalkeeper made a few saves but was helpless to stop Satriano’s goal from close range. A frustrating day for the young international, who could do no more.
Ismaily (6): The Brazilian left-back had a good game. He played high up the pitch and won back possession several times in the opposition’s half, creating chances for LOSC. Defensively, he did a good job on Del Castillo.
Yoro (5): The young LOSC defender, who is already being courted by the biggest clubs in Europe, had a decent game until the 80th minute, when he was not strong enough in a duel with Satriano, who equalized. This event had a big impact on the final result.
Diakité (5.5): The former Toulouse player, who is gradually recovering from his long absence due to a shoulder injury at the end of last year, is slowly getting back to his best. This time playing in the center of defense, he was solid, not making any major mistakes, and he could not do much about the Brest goal.
Santos (6): Another good performance from the LOSC right-back. He won a lot of fouls after taking on his wing and caused a lot of problems for the Brest defense. Defensively, he did his job against his opponents and confirms that he is one of the bargains of the season in Ligue 1.
Bentaleb (5.5): The Algerian international midfielder controlled the game for his teammates and his partnership with Benjamin André has been working very well since his arrival this summer. He did not shine this afternoon but he is undeniably very valuable for his teammates, especially in this kind of match against a direct competitor.
André (5.5): The Lille captain is indispensable to his team. His work rate in midfield and his ability to win back the ball make him a unique player in Paulo Fonseca’s squad. Today, he did not have a great game but he still performed at a fairly good level.
Haraldsson (4.5): Starting as a winger, the Icelandic player performed below par compared to the rest of his attacking teammates. On several counter-attacks, he often made the wrong choices and was unable to make the most of the good work of his teammates. Replaced by Adam Ounas (84′).
Angel Gomes (7): A classy performance from the former Manchester United player. Every time he touches the ball, something happens. He made a superb assist for Jonathan David in the second half, which rewarded his many efforts in this balanced match at Francis Le-Blé.
Zhegrova (6): The Lille right winger was by far the most dangerous and threatening player for his team’s defense. He created several clear chances but in the duel of the day, the Kosovan player did not win his face-offs with the excellent Brest goalkeeper, who saved his team on many occasions. Replaced by Ivan Cavaleiro (84′).
David (6): The Canadian striker did not have a great afternoon but he hung in there and eventually converted one of his rare chances into a goal. On a perfect pass from Angel Gomes, he completely surprised Bizot with a powerful right-footed shot that was enough to give LOSC the lead. This is already his fifteenth goal of the calendar year.
