AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan suffered a knee injury in the team’s 3-1 win over Sparta Prague on Thursday, but the club has announced that the injury is not serious.
Maignan was forced to leave the game in the 67th minute after colliding with an opponent. He was replaced by Ciprian Tatarusanu.
“The tests have excluded any damage to the knee ligaments,” the club said in a statement. “The player will be monitored in the coming days.”
Maignan is expected to be fit for France’s upcoming international matches against Ivory Coast and South Africa.
The 28-year-old has been in excellent form for Milan this season, keeping 14 clean sheets in 27 appearances in all competitions. He has also been capped five times by France.
