Jadon Sancho to earn Borussia Dortmund more money

Jadon Sancho returned to Borussia Dortmund on loan in January 2023 after a difficult spell at Manchester United. The English winger made a promising start to his second spell at the club, but he has since struggled with injuries and fitness issues.

Sancho finally scored his first goal for Dortmund in over 1000 days in a recent win over Werder Bremen. He is still not fully fit, according to coach Edin Terzic, but he is expected to play in the Champions League round of 16 second leg against PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday.

If Dortmund qualify for the Champions League quarter-finals, they will earn €10.6 million in prize money. They will also receive €4 million in bonus payments from Manchester United as part of the deal that took Sancho to Old Trafford in 2021, according to Bild.

Sancho’s return to Dortmund has been a mixed bag so far. He has shown flashes of his brilliance, but he has also been inconsistent. However, he is still a young player with a lot of potential. If he can stay fit and find his best form, he could be a key player for Dortmund in the years to come.
