AC Milan are back in the race to sign young Turkish midfielder Arda Güler, this time hoping to bring him in on loan from Real Madrid, according to Calciomercato.

The 19-year-old signed for Real Madrid last summer for €15 million but hasn’t seen much action due to injuries. Despite limited playing time, Güler showed his potential with a goal in Real Madrid’s recent 4-0 win over Celta Vigo.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is a big believer in Güler’s talent. “He’s a great talent, and he’s been working hard,” Ancelotti said after the Celta Vigo match. “He has a future here at Real Madrid.”

However, with the potential arrival of Brazilian wonderkid Endrick and superstar Kylian Mbappé, competition for playing time at Real Madrid is fierce. Milan see this as an opportunity to swoop in.

Milan previously tried to sign Güler before he joined Real Madrid. They now hope to leverage their good relationship with the Spanish club, built on the successful loan of Brahim Díaz, to secure Güler on a temporary deal.

Ideally, Milan would also like to include a buyout option in the loan agreement. The Italian giants hope that after integrating Güler into their squad, they can convince him to join them permanently.
