Borussia Dortmund’s plan to keep Jadon Sancho

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has revealed an ambitious plan to keep Jadon Sancho at the club. The English winger is currently on loan from Manchester United, and his contract with the Red Devils runs until 2026. Kehl sees a unique opportunity to extend Sancho’s loan for at least another season.

This strategic move would not only allow Borussia Dortmund to continue enjoying Sancho’s talent, but it would also put them in an advantageous position to negotiate his permanent transfer in the future. By extending the loan, the German club could secure the possibility of acquiring Sancho at an affordable price once his contract with Manchester United ends, allowing them to avoid a bidding war in the market.

A potential swap deal involving Sancho, Dutch striker Donyell Malen, and Manchester United has also been proposed. With Sancho showing a clear interest in staying in Dortmund and avoiding a return to Manchester under Erik Ten Hag, this option could be beneficial for all parties involved.
