Atletico Madrid are sweating on the fitness of Antoine Griezmann ahead of their Champions League clash with Inter Milan on Wednesday.
The French forward missed the last four games with an ankle injury, but he returned to training on Monday and is expected to start against Inter.
Griezmann’s return is a major boost for Atletico, who lost the first leg 1-0 at San Siro. The 31-year-old is the team’s top scorer this season with 15 goals in all competitions.
Atletico manager Diego Simeone is also expected to have a full squad available for the game, with Stefan Savic and Jose Gimenez both returning from suspension.
The Colchoneros will be looking to overturn the first-leg deficit and reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time since 2020.
