Real Madrid fans were left fuming after a series of controversial refereeing decisions went against their team in their 1-0 win over Celta Vigo at the Santiago Bernabéu on Saturday.
The most contentious moment came in the 29th minute, when Brahim Díaz was tripped inside the area by Celta defender Carl Starfelt. However, referee Mario Melero López waved play on and VAR did not intervene, much to the anger of the Real Madrid players and fans.
To make matters worse, Melero López also showed a yellow card to Eduardo Camavinga for a challenge that many felt was not even a foul.
The decisions overshadowed what was otherwise a comfortable victory for Real Madrid, who moved eight points clear of Barcelona at the top of La Liga
