Manchester United are eyeing Juventus defender Gleison Bremer to solve their defensive woes, according to Tuttosport.
The 26-year-old Brazilian centre-back only joined Juve in the summer of 2022 from Torino for a hefty €50 million. However, the Bianconeri are surprisingly open to offers in the region of €70 million despite Bremer having four years left on his contract. This eagerness to sell likely stems from Juventus’ need to raise funds to strengthen their own squad in multiple areas.
Manchester United’s leaky defense has been a major concern this season. Despite sitting in a somewhat respectable sixth place in the Premier League table, their goal difference is a shocking -2. They see Bremer, a highly-rated defender in Serie A, as the ideal player to solidify their backline.
Bremer isn’t the only club chasing the Brazilian. Tottenham Hotspur are also reportedly interested in his services.
Meanwhile, Juventus are said to be preparing for Bremer’s potential departure by compiling a shortlist of replacements. The names on that list include Riccardo Calafiori (Bologna), Reinildo Mandava (Atletico Madrid), Lloyd Kelly (Bournemouth), and Strahinja Pavlovic (FC Salzburg).
