VfB Stuttgart want Undav on a permanent deal, but negotiations ongoing

VfB Stuttgart are keen to sign on loan striker Mateo Undav permanently in the summer, but they’re not willing to break the bank. The overall package will be expensive regardless, according to Florian Plettenberg.

Undav’s happy at Stuttgart and wants to stay, but he’s also asking for a significant raise in salary as part of any permanent deal.

Currently, Undav has a release clause in his loan deal set at somewhere between €13 million and €15 million.

However, there’s a good relationship between VfB Stuttgart and Undav, and talks are ongoing!

Undav’s impressive form this season (15 goals and 5 assists) has caught the eye of German national team coach Julian Nagelsmann, who’s considering calling him up for the upcoming matches against France and the Netherlands. Well deserved!
