With the summer transfer window just around the corner, rumors are starting to heat up. Defensa Central reports that Chelsea is reportedly willing to pay Nico Williams’ €50 million release clause, but Real Madrid is not interested in signing the player.
Williams has been on Real Madrid‘s radar for some time, but the club has not made a move to sign him. The Spanish winger has been in excellent form for Athletic Bilbao this season, scoring seven goals and providing five assists in 27 appearances.
However, Real Madrid is not convinced that Williams is the right player for the club. The team is already well-stocked in the wide areas, with Vinicius Jr., Federico Valverde, and Rodrygo all vying for playing time.
Chelsea, on the other hand, is in need of reinforcements in attack. The Blues have struggled to score goals this season, and Williams would be a welcome addition to the squad.
The 20-year-old is a talented player with a bright future ahead of him. It will be interesting to see where he ends up playing next season.
