Cristiano Ronaldo took to social media to congratulate Real Madrid on their 122nd birthday, sparking rumors of a potential return to the club.
The Portuguese forward, who is the club’s all-time leading scorer, wrote: “Happy 122 years of history, Real Madrid family! Hala Madrid!”
Ronaldo’s message comes after a period of speculation about his future, with the 38-year-old currently playing for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
Real Madrid have long been interested in bringing Ronaldo back to the Bernabéu, and Florentino Pérez is reportedly eager to make it happen.
The Spanish giants are planning to renovate the Bernabéu and believe that Ronaldo would be the perfect player to help them celebrate the stadium’s reopening.
Ronaldo has previously said that he would be open to returning to Real Madrid, and his recent social media post suggests that he is still interested in a move.
