Kylian Mbappé and his mother Fayza Lamari have announced that they will not sign any agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for the player’s departure. This decision comes after the French press reported in recent days that a possible financial agreement had been reached between the two parties.
According to L’Equipe, PSG had offered Mbappé a loyalty bonus of 80 million euros and a signing bonus of 40 to 50 million euros in exchange for his departure this summer. But Fayza Lamari told PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi that they were rejecting this proposal.
Mbappé and his entourage have already given up 80 million euros in loyalty bonuses and do not want to pay an additional 40 to 50 million euros to leave PSG. They believe that the player has the right to leave on a free transfer at the end of his contract in June 2024.
Real Madrid are still interested in signing Mbappé, but they will now have to wait until next summer to do so. The Spanish club is ready to offer the player a salary of 50 million euros per year, and he has already given his verbal agreement.
PSG are now in a difficult situation. The club does not want to lose Mbappé for free, but they cannot force him to stay. It is possible that the two parties will reach a financial agreement in the coming months, but that seems unlikely at the moment.
