Haaland’s response to PSG: “Not a chance”

Paris Saint-Germain are already thinking about their first season without Kylian Mbappé. The French striker has made it clear that he will not be staying at the Parc des Princes, and the club’s management is looking for his direct replacement.

With Mbappé’s departure, PSG are losing one of their main attacking assets, as well as one of the best players in the world. Everything suggests that he will move to Real Madrid, but there is still no official announcement from the Valdebebas offices.

To replace him, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi has approached his direct competition: Erling Braut Haaland. But the Norwegian player has been blunt in his response: PSG “is not a club that is in our future plans like City or Madrid”.

Haaland’s preferred destinations

It is no secret that Erling Haaland only has two favorite destinations in the European football elite. Since he left Borussia Dortmund, both Manchester City and Real Madrid have been at the top of his list of priorities.

However, the presence of Karim Benzema, who would later win the Ballon d’Or, made him choose the team coached by Pep Guardiola, a move that the Valdebebas offices ‘appreciate’: with Haaland’s refusal to join Santiago Bernabéu, the signing of Kylian Mbappé is possible today.

That is why the only change Haaland will make will be to wear the Real Madrid jersey. He has it very clear.

Not a priority for Haaland

Neither is it a priority. In the personal and professional environment of the Scandinavian ‘9’, they know that signing for Real Madrid, with Kylian Mbappé on the verge of joining Santiago Bernabéu, is a pipe dream: Florentino Pérez always preferred the Bondy attacker.

Despite everything, the Valdebebas offices do not rule out the hypothetical signing of Erling Haaland in the medium term.

That is why PSG will never be a priority for Haaland. Because he will continue his career at Manchester City while waiting for Real Madrid to show interest in his signing. If the call from the white club never comes, it will not be a problem: he is happy in the British city being one of Pep Guardiola’s favorites and one of the reasons why the citizen club has won its first Champions League.
