Macron clarifies Mbappé’s future after dinner with Emir

French President Emmanuel Macron has confirmed that Kylian Mbappé will not leave Paris Saint-Germain this season.

Macron made the comments after dining with Mbappé, Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and other guests at the Élysée Palace on Tuesday.

Mbappé has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent months, but Macron said that the 23-year-old forward had told him he was happy to stay at PSG.

“I spoke with Kylian Mbappé and he told me he was very happy at Paris Saint-Germain,” Macron said. “He is a great player and I am sure he will continue to be successful at PSG.”

Macron’s comments will be a blow to Real Madrid, who have been hoping to sign Mbappé for several years. However, it is not yet clear whether Mbappé will sign a new contract with PSG or move to another club in the future.

The Mbappé saga is one of the most talked-about stories in world football. The French forward is considered to be one of the best players in the world and his future is likely to be the subject of much speculation until it is finally resolved.
