With the Kylian Mbappé saga finally over, Real Madrid are now turning their attention to their next target: Alphonso Davies, the 23-year-old left-back who plays for Bayern Munich.
According to Sky Germany, Davies has no intention of renewing his contract with Bayern, which expires in 2025. He has already made it known to his agent that he wants to join Real Madrid.
Bayern are resigned to losing Davies and are hoping to get around €50 million for his transfer. Real Madrid, for their part, are ready to negotiate and are expected to make an offer of around €35 million, according to Marca.
The arrival of Davies would likely affect Ferland Mendy, who is also out of contract in 2025. Real Madrid have not yet offered Mendy a new contract, although he is highly rated by Carlo Ancelotti.
Real Madrid also have other options at left-back, such as Fran García and Miguel Gutiérrez. But the main objective of the club’s sporting directorate is none other than Alphonso Davies, the best left-back in the world.
