Barcelona coach Xavi spoke to the media after his team’s 1-1 draw with Napoli in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie.
Xavi expressed his disappointment that his team couldn’t hold on for the win after taking the lead through Robert Lewandowski in the 60th minute.
“I have a bit of a bitter feeling,” Xavi said. “We did the most difficult thing, which was to score the first goal, and we had to control the game after that. Today, Napoli played a great game and things were a bit difficult for us, but we will play the return leg in front of our fans and that is in our favor. Today, we played a good game. We can feel a bit bitter, but if we play in the same style today, we will go through to the quarterfinals.”

Xavi also responded to rumors that he could be fired if Barcelona are eliminated by Napoli.
“This is Barça and the rumors will continue on Saturday,” Xavi said. “Rest assured, one day I will no longer be here.”
