Juventus are setting their sights on Atalanta’s midfield maestro, Teun Koopmeiners, according to Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport. The 25-year-old Dutchman has caught the eye with his impressive displays in Serie A, emerging as a key target for the Bianconeri’s summer transfer window.
Koopmeiners has been banging in the goals this season, currently sitting as the second-highest scoring midfielder in Italy’s top tier with seven strikes. His versatility in both defensive and attacking roles, coupled with his technical prowess and passing ability, makes him a highly sought-after talent.
However, Juventus face stiff competition for his signature. Premier League giants Newcastle United, Liverpool, and Manchester United have all reportedly expressed interest in the Dutch international, whose contract at Atalanta runs until 2027.
While securing Koopmeiners’ services won’t be a walk in the park, reports suggest Atalanta are open to negotiations for a fee potentially exceeding €40 million. Juventus are prepared to splash the cash, but ultimately, the decision lies with Koopmeiners, who will have several lucrative options to consider come summer.
