Juventus eyeing dutch defender Nijstad to repeat Huijsen success

Juventus are looking to repeat the success of their “Huijsen formula” by signing another young Dutch player, Ruud Nijstad, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The “Huijsen formula” refers to the signing of Dutch-Spanish defender Dean Huijsen from Malaga in 2020.

Huijsen has since impressed at the Juventus academy and is now a regular for the Roma Primavera side, where he has even scored a goal this season.

The 17-year-old is also seen as a potential future player for the Spanish national team.

Nijstad, 16, is a central defender who currently plays for the Twente academy.

He has already visited the Juventus training ground and the Italian club have made him an offer.

Juventus believe that Nijstad has the potential to be a top player and they are hoping to sign him before he attracts interest from other big clubs.
