Rayo Vallecano vs Real Madrid Preview: Can the home side end Los Blancos’ unbeaten run?

Rayo Vallecano host Real Madrid on Sunday in a La Liga match that both teams will be desperate to win.

Vallecano have sacked manager Francisco after a run of six games without a win, and they are now just seven points above the relegation zone.

They have also struggled at home this season, winning just one of their last 10 league matches at the Estadio de Vallecas.

New manager Iñigo Pérez will be hoping to get his tenure off to a winning start, but he will face a tough task against a Real Madrid side who are in excellent form.

Real Madrid are five points clear at the top of La Liga and have won their last six away games in the league.

They are also in the last 16 of the Champions League after beating RB Leipzig 1-0 in the first leg of their tie.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side have a number of injury concerns, but they will still be confident of getting a result against Vallecano.

Key Players:

Isi Palazón has scored three goals for Vallecano this season, all of which have come in the first half.
Rodrygo has scored three goals in his last four appearances for Real Madrid, all of which have come after the 60th minute.
Hot Stat: Real Madrid have only conceded one first-half goal in their last 13 La Liga matches.

Prediction:

This is a tough game to call, but I think Real Madrid will edge it.

Rayo Vallecano 1-2 Real Madrid
