Real Madrid: Florentino Perez confirms Kylian Mbappé’s arrival to players

It seems like the wait is finally over for Real Madrid fans. Kylian Mbappé is all set to join the Merengues next season, as confirmed by Florentino Perez to the team’s players.

The saga surrounding Mbappé’s future at PSG has been dragging on for months, ever since he informed president Nasser Al-Khelaifi of his decision to leave at the end of the season. However, it was clear that Real Madrid was his preferred destination, and Florentino Perez has now made it official.

A welcoming dressing Room, hostile press

Even before Mbappé’s decision to leave PSG was made public, several Real Madrid players had already expressed their excitement about his potential arrival. In early February, Vinicius Jr. liked a post on Instagram that hinted at the possibility of the two “sneaker shopping legends” teaming up at the Bernabéu. A few days later, another Brazilian, Eder Militao, told AS:

“I would love Mbappé to come. I always want to play with the best players, and he is one of the best in the world. I would love it, but I can’t talk too much about him. He is a PSG player and I have to respect that.”

However, not everyone is thrilled about Mbappé’s potential move to Madrid. Spanish journalist Tomas Roncero, a pundit for AS and El Chiringuito, didn’t hold back in expressing his opinion on the matter. Speaking to Cadena SER, Roncero called the Frenchman the “most insufferable player” in the club’s history.

“The debt he owes to Real Madrid is almost impossible to pay. He has to assume his mistake and know that money is not the most important thing,” he said.

Mbappé has been warned.
