Napoli vs Genoa preview: Napoli aim to bounce back against struggling Genoa

Napoli will be looking to get back to winning ways when they host Genoa in Serie A on Sunday. The Partenopei are winless in three of their last four matches (1 win, 1 draw, 2 losses) and have slipped to seventh in the table.

However, they have a good record at home this season, winning three of their last four league matches at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona (1 draw). They will also be buoyed by the fact that they have only lost two consecutive league matches once this season.

Genoa, meanwhile, are six points behind Napoli in 13th place. They lost their last match 4-1 to Atalanta, but they had previously gone eight matches unbeaten (3 wins, 5 draws).

The Rossoblu have also been strong on the road of late, winning two and drawing two of their last four away matches. However, they have a poor record at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, winning just once in their last 13 visits (4 draws, 9 losses).

Key Players:

Matteo Politano has scored his last two league goals at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona and has scored the winning goal for Napoli in three of their last four matches.

Albert Guðmundsson has scored the opening goal for Genoa in seven of the eight league matches in which he has found the net this season.

Key Stat: Genoa have conceded seven of their 14 away league goals after the 80th minute.

This is a tough match to call. Napoli are the better team and have the home advantage, but Genoa have been in good form on the road of late. A draw could be the most likely outcome.
