FC Barcelona considers selling Alejandro Balde

FC Barcelona’s financial problems have once again put the future of Alejandro Balde in doubt. The Spanish full-back could be put on the transfer list if a good offer comes in for the club and the player is willing to leave. This is surprising news, as Balde, along with other young talents from La Masia like Lamine, Gavi, and Cubarsí, was previously considered untouchable.

Despite a long injury layoff after an operation in Finland, Balde has the support of his agent, Jorge Mendes, who has a close relationship with the Catalan club. Mendes already tried to find a way out for Ansu Fati last summer, although he ended up on loan. The club knows that Mendes could be a key player in finding a lucrative offer for the Spanish player.

Balde has a market value of 50 million euros and a release clause of 1 billion euros. The player attracted great offers last summer, but his contract was extended until June 2028.

Clubs like Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, PSG, Liverpool, and Chelsea have already shown interest in the player and are willing to offer more than 55 million euros.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan club does not intend to force the left-back to leave in the summer and believes that his position could be adequately covered by another player.
