Fabrizio Romano drops Arsenal bombshell and warns Florentino: “Mbappé has said he’s leaving”

Real Madrid are closely monitoring the Mbappé situation. While they won’t make any moves until Mbappé himself approaches them, they are aware of the latest developments from his camp.

Mbappé’s entourage has reportedly gone to great lengths to find a solution to the soap opera surrounding the Bondy-born attacker this summer. His potential exit as a free agent is getting closer according to information published in France, but Real Madrid are not willing to reach out again: it must be Mbappé who approaches Valdebebas.

Low trust in the French striker’s word and his entourage has led several people in the Parisian striker’s inner circle to look for alternatives to the Santiago Bernabéu and the Parc des Princes. They have reportedly found them in England, with Liverpool and Arsenal once again presenting themselves as possible suitors for the still-PSG player.

However, Fabrizio Romano has dismantled these supposed approaches. The information handled by the Italian journalist makes it clear that there is nothing, at the moment, between Mbappé and both Premier League teams. This maneuver, those in the Santiago Bernabéu boardroom understand, is a ploy to indirectly invite them to improve the financial conditions of the contract proposed for the 2024 transfer market.

Mbappé has already said he’s leaving

Furthermore, after 5pm this Thursday, Romano has assured that Mbappé has already told PSG that he will not continue next season at the Parc des Princes.

“Kylian Mbappé has informed PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi that he will leave the club as a free agent. The terms of the exit have not yet been fully agreed, but he will leave Paris in the summer; Kylian still has to fulfill his commitments to the club.”

“The decision is 100% confirmed as reported today to Nasser Al Khelaifi. PSG and Mbappé will communicate together about Kylian’s departure in the coming months. Real Madrid are still working on the Mbappé operation with total confidence to get it,” the Italian journalist added.

But Real Madrid have not ‘bit’. Florentino Pérez established a strict law of silence since Kylian Mbappé renewed with PSG in the spring of 2022. At the same time, he put aside all attempts to approach the Bondy attacker, showing indifference in each transfer window and moving forward with a sporting plan without the French capital striker.

This strategy of the white executives has paid off, because Mbappé is more ‘expendable’ than ever in a dressing room full of young stars like Bellingham, Vinicius, Tchouaméni and Militão. Real Madrid will continue to wait and, if there are no movements when the season ends, they could definitively close the doors of the Santiago Bernabéu, putting an end to a saga that has been on the front pages for more than seven years.
