RB Leipzig and Real Madrid: Official Lineups

The Champions League returns on Tuesday night with a mouth-watering last-16 tie between RB Leipzig and Real Madrid.

The home side, Leipzig, will line up in a 4-4-2 formation with Péter Gulácsi in goal behind a back four of Mohamed Simakan, Willi Orbán, Lukas Klostermann, and David Raum. Xaver Schlager will partner Dani Olmo in central midfield, with Benjamin Henrichs and Raum on the wings. Up front, the German side will field a strike partnership of Loïs Openda and Benjamin Šeško, with Xavi Simons in support.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, will start in a 4-4-2 diamond formation with Andriy Lunin in goal. The defense will be made up of Dani Carvajal, Nacho Fernandez, Aurélien Tchouaméni, and Ferland Mendy. The midfield will consist of Federico Valverde, Toni Kroos, Eduardo Camavinga, and Brahim Diaz. In attack, Vinicius Junior will partner Rodrygo Goes.
