Neymar returns to Saudi Arabia

Neymar Jr., the 32-year-old Brazilian superstar, left Paris Saint-Germain last summer to join Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia. However, his time with his new team has been hampered by injuries. He has only played in 5 games in all competitions (scoring 1 goal and providing 2 assists) before suffering a serious injury while playing for the Brazilian national team on October 17th. The former Barcelona player has been recovering in Brazil since then.

Neymar returned to Saudi Arabia yesterday, as announced by his club on Twitter. According to Arriyadiyah, he arrived on Monday evening at 8pm on a private plane that had taken off from Barcelona. Several Al-Hilal officials were waiting for the player, who was accompanied by three friends. Approached by children, Neymar posed for photos and signed autographs before receiving gifts from his club (perfume, a bouquet of flowers, and incense). It was a warm welcome for the Brazilian star, who was all smiles.

Neymar’s return to action is a major boost for Al-Hilal, who are currently in second place in the Saudi Pro League. The team is hoping that Neymar can help them win their first league title since 2020.

It is still unclear when Neymar will be able to return to playing. However, his return to Saudi Arabia is a positive sign that he is on the road to recovery.
