Real Madrid team bus involved in minor accident in Germany

Real Madrid’s journey to Germany for their Champions League clash against RB Leipzig was disrupted on Monday when their team bus was involved in a minor accident.

The incident occurred on the A4 motorway between Eichelborn and Nohra, as the bus was transporting the players to their hotel in Leipzig. According to German newspaper Bild, a white Toyota Avensis collided with the bus, causing damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle and ripping off the Toyota’s wing mirror.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as a result of the accident, and the bus was able to continue on its journey after a short delay. The extent of the damage to the Real Madrid bus is not yet known, but it is not believed to be serious.

The incident comes as Real Madrid prepare for a crucial first-leg tie against RB Leipzig in the Champions League. The match will be played at the Red Bull Arena on Tuesday night, and both teams will be looking to gain an advantage ahead of the second leg in Madrid.

Despite the minor setback, Real Madrid will be confident of their chances of getting a good result in Leipzig. The Spanish giants are the current holders of the Champions League, and they have a wealth of experience in the competition.

RB Leipzig are no strangers to the Champions League either, having reached the semi-finals in 2020. However, they will be without their star striker Timo Werner for the first leg, who is out injured.
